When I design, I think of a man's day-to-day business and social events, as well as his private home life. That is why I view the Ron Chereskin label as a lifestyle,” states the designer. Before entering the fashion arena, Ron Chereskin was a magazine illustrator. His career started with award-winning magazine covers, as well as commissioned paintings and illustrations. One of his illustrative works is on permanent display in the library of the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. During his magazine tenure, he was singled out for his drawings and design ability. A tie manufacturer hired him as a freelance designer and the rest is history! Slowly he moved into other classifications such as dress shirts, which in turn, led him to design a full collection. He can attribute his first “big break” and big order to Saks Fifth Avenue. A very prestigious start in the industry! Ron's trademark became the combination of innovative applications on cotton fiber with beautiful textures, patterns and a plethora of color.
