Sliminizer is “Shapewear with an attitude.” The founder, Kate Liegey, realized there was a tremendous need for Shapewear in various skin tones. After researching many labels, she concluded that there was really only one generic tan nude being offered to consumers. Women were forced to choose from black, white or tan when shopping for Shapewear. She concluded that these limited variety of colors “do not cater to the realistic skin tones of many women, particularly women of color.” Sliminizer is for the “Real Woman” in skin tones that compliment a women’s color.

Kate Liegey has been an intimates and Shapewear designer for over 20 years for many major brands. She understands women’s needs for fit and comfort. She designed all her own garments and fit them with her fit model, who has real curves. Quality and comfort are her biggest priority, next to affordability. “Shapewear should not be expensive” Ms. Liegey says. Customers should all be able to afford great quality, fit and control!


Because Liegey felt a “strong need to address the varying ethnicities of women,” she developed the “Color Match System.” She decided to base her skin tone spectrum on the color palette typically used in creating foundation make-up. In this way, she was able to create various shades of Color, and address the needs of a wide variety of women. The “Color Match System” is available in 10 skin tone shades, ranging from white to dark brown. In addition, all styles are available in sizes Small through 3X.
